LivePerson's Visitor Rules allow you to present alerts to your operators highlighting useful information about site visitors.

A rule is composed of one or more Conditions - if any or all of the conditions are true, then the rule's Action will be triggered. The Action will usually display an Operator Alert, but could also be used to set a custom tracking variable.


The following conditions are available in LivePerson's Pro group of products.

  • Browsing - Current Page - the page the visitor is currently viewing, or any part of the URL or parameter
  • Browsing - Previous Page - check for the previous page viewed by the visitor, or any part of the URL or parameter
  • Browsing - Referring URL - check the referring URL of the visitor, or any part of the URL or parameter
  • Chat - Agent Last Entry - check for specific text in the agent's last message
  • Chat - Chat with agent activity - true if the agent has sent any message during this session
  • Chat - Chat with visitor activity - true if the visitor has sent any message during this session
  • Chat - Interactive chat - true if either agent or visitor entered a message during this session
  • Chat - Visitor Last Entry - check for specific text in the agent's last message


Misc. - GEO attribute - check for visitor Geolocation data, including:

  • Country - visitor's country of origin
  • City - city of visitor
  • Organization - visitor's organization name
  • Time Zone - time zone of the visitor
  • ISP - visitor's Internet service provider
  • Connection Type - examples: Corporate, DSL, Dial up
  • Time Functions - Seconds since last agent entry - time since the agent last typed a message
  • Time Functions - Seconds since last agent or visitor entry - time since either agent or visitor last typed a message
  • Time Functions - Seconds since last visitor entry - time since the visitor last typed a message
