The LivePerson Agent Console interface can be set to the following languages:

  • Chinese
  • English (US)
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Portuguese (Brazil)
  • Spanish (Spain)


You can select the language for an individual workstation, or for all workstations on the account.

  • To select the language for an individual workstation, go to File > Preferences > Language in the Agent Console.
  • To change the language for all agents on your account, go to your Admin Console: Account Setup > Settings > Localization and set the language you need.


Note: the Agent Console setting can override the Admin Console setting for an individual workstation.

Admin Console menus are currently displayed in English only.

LivePerson allows you to chat in any language supported by UTF-8 encoding. Some non-UTF-8 languages may not be fully supported.

Note: 

  • To display non-Latin alphabets and fonts correctly, both you and your visitors must have operating system and browser support (and that language must be the OS and browser default).
  • You can create system messages and tooltips in any UTF-8 supported language.
