Introduction:


In addition to the predefined Offline Survey, you can also create a webpage with your own customized Offline Survey and link it to the chat button. Your visitors will be redirected to this survey webpage when your agents are offline and cannot take chats.

You have two ways of creating customized Offline Surveys:

By adding code to the chat button:
  1. Create a webpage with the survey that you want to display to your visitors when your agents are offline    
  2.  Locate the following string in the code of your chat button:

    file=visitorWantsToChat

  3. Replace it with:

    file=visitorWantsToChat&offlineURL=http://www.yourSite.com/OfflineSurvey.html

emptyStringNOTE:  Instead of  http://www.yourSite.com/OfflineSurvey.html, enter the path to the webpage with the survey that you created.


By adding code to the header of the Offline Survey:
  1. Create a webpage with the survey that you want to display to your visitors when your agents are offline
  2. Enter the Admin Console and  create an Offline Survey 
  3. Enter the following code into the Survey Heading field

    parent.location="http://www.yoursite.com/OfflineSurvey.html"; </script>
