Introduction:


The Online Status page shows an at-a-glance view of account, skill and agent status. You can manually control the online/offline status of your account and skills, and have the option to disconnect individual agents.

Instructions:


To access the Online Status page, enter your Admin Console and click Account Setup > Online Status. Agents need the permission "View Online Status" to perform this action.

To view and control the status of the account
The current status of the account is shown in the Account Status area:
Online
Offline
Online image
Offline
Use the dropdown menu to change the status of your account. You are prompted to confirm the change.
 Note: Your login must have the permission "Control Online Status of Account" to perform this action.In-progress chats are not disconnected when you set the account to Offline. 
 
To view and control the status of skill groups
The current status of each individual skill is shown in the Skill Group Status area:
Online
Offline
Online image
Offline
Use the dropdown menu to change the status of a skill. You are prompted to confirm the change.
 Note: In-progress chats are not disconnected when you set the skill to Offline.  

To view and control the status of chat agents
The Online Operators area shows a list of logged-in agents along with their current status:

Away
 You can also disconnect an individual agent by clicking the Disconnect button next to the agent's name
. Note: Disconnection is immediate and any in-progress chats are terminatedThe agent sees a pop-up indicating that they have been disconnected via the Admin Console.  Chat visitors see a system message "Chat session has ended".
