Introduction: 


Timestamps show the exact time that chat lines are sent and received.

By adding timestamps to chat interactions in the Agent Console, you can monitor agent response times and keep track of visitor wait times. You can also add or remove timestamps for chat transcripts viewed in the Admin Console.

Instructions:


To enable timestamps in your chats:
  • Version 9.X: Go to File > Preferences > Chat. Select Yes for View timestamps for sent and received chat lines. Click OK.
  • Version 8.X: Go to File > Settings > Chat and check the box View timestamps for sent and received chat lines. Click OK.

To add or remove timestamps to chat transcripts in the Admin Console, open a transcript then select or deselect the checkbox located at the start of the transcript: Show/Hide timestamp for each chat line
